Booking Flow

Bookengo uses a three-step booking wizard to ensure guests can book the hotel–airport shuttle quickly, accurately, and in a structured way. Below is a detailed explanation of the process, based on what guests see on the screen.

1. Step 1 – Trip information

Purpose

Collect all details related to the shuttle ride so Bookengo can allocate seats and notify the transport provider.

Guest actions

1. Select date

   • Guest chooses the day they need the shuttle.
   • Only available and valid dates appear.

2. Select number of passengers

   • Default is 1 passenger.
   • Guest can increase or decrease using "+ / -".

3. Select time

   • Only available departure times are shown.
   • Guests choose the required shuttle departure.

System logic

• System calculates capacity. If a time slot is full, it will not appear.
• After completing the fields, the guest clicks Next.

2. Step 2 – Passenger information

Purpose

Collect mandatory contact information to ensure the guest receives confirmations, updates, and driver instructions.

Fields

1. Full name (required)
2. Email address (required)
   • Used for confirmation and instructions.
3. Phone number (required)
   • International format.
   • Used for driver communication if needed.
4. Room number (optional or required depending on hotel)
   • Helps staff identify the guest in case of changes or delays.

System logic

• Validates email and phone format automatically.
• Stores the information in the hotel admin panel.
• Guest clicks Next to continue.

3. Step 3 – Review & payment

Purpose

Ensure transparency and allow the guest to confirm details before paying.

What the guest sees

• Contact information summary (name, email, phone, room)
• Trip details:
  • Route (Hotel → Airport)
  • Number of passengers
  • Selected time
• Price summary:
  • Shuttle price (for example, €5 per passenger return)
  • Subtotal
  • Discount code field (optional)

Guest action

• Enter discount code if available.
• Click Confirm booking and pay.

System logic

• Redirects to the payment wall (PSP).
• After successful payment:
  • Booking is created in Bookengo.
  • Confirmation email is sent.
  • Hotel receives the booking in the admin dashboard.
